WELCOME, FIRST GARDENERS!
You are planting the first seeds of a 12-year journey. Whether you're 8 or 88, whether you start in
Grade 1 or at retirement — everyone begins at Year 1 and grows deeper roots each year. Someone
starting at 88 will complete their journey at 100. A child starting in Grade 1 graduates Grade 12 as a
fully rooted Ukrainian.
Every participant creates videos each week — telling their story, preserving their heritage, and
building a permanent digital archive of Ukrainian culture that can never be destroyed.
Year 1 is about DISCOVERING — learning what exists, naming what you love, finding your
foundation.
The same 12 themes return every year for 12 years. Each year, the tasks deepen. This year, we
plant. In future years, we tend, harvest, and share.
